OakGlenn is hosting a marathon-like event in August with another organization called the Beer & Bagel Off-Road Race. The winery plays a huge part in this event and makes a lot of money from it. I saw some informational things around advertising the date it was going to be held and some pictures from 2015, but not much else. So, I wrote and designed an informational flyer to keep at the front desk for people who might be interested in signing up but didn’t know about it. I was really excited for this because it’s the first document I wrote and designed completely by myself, and I was glad I was able to show some of my writing skills to the company. In the flyer, I included an informational section, a section on how to register for the race, and a section a little about last year’s event. I used limited color to both save on printing costs and really bring attention to important information, like the date and the Beer & Bagel website.
